Create your FSA ID
The first step in applying for federal student aid is creating an FSA ID. The FSA ID (account username and password) allows students and parents to identify themselves electronically to access Federal Student Aid websites. The FSA ID is the fastest way to sign your federal student aid application and have it processed.
If you don't already have an FSA ID, you can create an FSA ID. If you have an FSA ID but don't remember your username or password, select "Forgot My Username" or "Forgot My Password"
Note: If you verified your email address or mobile phone number during account creation, you could enter your email address or mobile phone number instead of your username.
Complete Your Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a form every student must fill out to get federal student aid for college and career schools. The FAFSA needs to be completed for you to receive Federal Pell grants, Federal Direct Student Loans.
Note: You may need to fill out multiple FAFSA's depending on when you begin classes. It is recommended that you complete all available FAFSA's that can be filled out to prevent delays in processing your federal student aid.
